My summer vacation is unfortunately over & lets begin with: where it ended!
I’ve been to Italy & actually can’t wait to show you the pictures, but I also REALLY, REALLY missed working with flowers… So here we go – a few quick images of roses & macarons.
I got back from a very sunny vacation in Italy – just to spend another perfect week with my little cousin & his lovely lady. They came to visit me in Germany & travelled Europe a little… They got me Macarons from Paris & we all decided, that it was not our kind of taste… It doesn’t really matter, because they are some little photogenic suckers! So I wonder: all these pretty images of macarons on Instagram – do you really love their taste or is it just because they look like supermodels of foodporn?

And if you are still not satisfied & catch yourself missing me: don’t forget to follow me on Instagram and look me up once in a while on VSCO!
A VINTAGE GARDEN PARTY
Last weekend I had a garden party for my vintage enthusiastic friends. I always wanted to throw a summer garden party & mix it with a vintage event. It all started a day before the party, with collecting flowers for a summer decoration, I arranged dill & wild flowers from a field nearby. My car was full of flowers and bugs, but it was worth it! The garden was filled with such a nice smell coming from all the flowers & the dill! My friends and I had a great time, I had a chance to see everyone before my long summer vacation. Next to my vintage treasures I had a chance to display my illustrations, that I had blown up to decorate some of my vintage purses. What do you think of such a way of displaying bags? For everyone, who missed the event, there is going to be another one! I hope, real soon!

LAST WEEK ON: INSTAGRAM
Last week was pretty colorful with all these flower images, so I made myself a quite & white mood board. Isn’t this white porcelain bug the most precious little thing you’ve ever seen? I got it here… He’s my favorite at the moment!
PALAIS XIII
Ladies and Gents,
may I introduce: the most beautiful shop on earth! When I grow up, I want to live in the PALAIS XIII! Ok, actually, I want to be Dietlind Wolf AND live in Palais XIII when I grow up!
Before I tell you about the shop, I need to tell you, how I found it first.
I have been a HUGE fan of Dietlind Wolf for years and haven’t missed a post. Many of you may know her for her amazing prop styling… But being the creative artist, that she is, she also makes beautiful ceramics & amazing jewelry! I got so inspired, she even got me to producing my own jewelry. I know, this isn’t everybody’s favorite – but I love bugs. I brought some antique forms from Paris & have been experimenting with jewelry making à la Dietlind. So here goes my first little bug:
Well, I love my little bug, but it is still not as fragile as Dietlind’s. My cravings for her black ceramic pendants didn’t disappear, so I wanted to have a black little bug by Dietlind. I did my research & found a link on her site, referring to Palais XIII. Tadaa, so here we go.
3 weeks ago I was in Hamburg , visiting my best friend, & could finally pay a visit to Palais XIII! The shop owner & I had such a nice conversation after I told her, how I found their store. Palais XIII is run by two designers and I am heartbroken, that I didn’t ask for the name of the lady I was talking to { so let me know who you are – if you are reading this }. It was a really nice talk, where we went on chatting about wire sculptures, how it is being a shop owner & offering customers unique products… They have a beautifully chosen collection of art, ceramics, wallpaper, furniture… It’s too much to pick from, so you have to go & see for yourself! Before I show you some of the images, you have to promise me: visit Palais XIII the next time you are in Hamburg, OK? Promise?
